Wolf, William (15 APR 1882 - 17 SEP 1947)
Funeral services for William Wolf, 65, of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) were conducted Sept. 20, at St. Anthony’s Church, Loyal. The requiem high mass was read by the Rev. Aloys Zinthefer and burial took place in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Mr. Wolf died Sept. 17, 1947, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since Sept. 11, following a heart attack.
Mr. Wolf was born April 15, 1882, and lived for a number of years on a farm near Auburndale. Later he resided on farms near Marshfield and Chili, and three years ago moved to Loyal, where he has been employed as janitor at St. Anthony’s Church.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters and two sons. The daughters are: Dorothy, Mrs. Anthony Miller, and Rose, Mrs. Alfred Rondorf, Marshfield; Margaret, Mrs. Edward Schill, Auburndale; and Frances, Mrs. Gerald Schmidt, Neillsville. The sons are: Frank Wolf, Loyal, and Gregor Wolf, Marathon City. There are three surviving brothers and five sisters: Joseph of Greenwood, John of Colby, Andrew of Lindsey, Arina and Madeline of Marshfield, Margaret of Milwaukee, Barbara of Statford and Clara of Eau Claire. Two sons died in infancy. There are twenty-seven grandchildren.
